Are Mushrooms Really That Good for You?!

ARE MUSHROOMS REALLY THAT GOOD FOR YOU? ๐Ÿง

YUP. Yupperos, yes, si, oui, yassss-- mushrooms are 100% THaT... good and good for you.

I often highlight different fungi and their specific benefits but letโ€™s take it back a step and cele-splain (celebrate/explain!) the basics and shared foundational benefits of our medicinal and culinary mushrooms.

๐ŸŒŸPreventative WONDER!
Long term benefits: mushrooms can be beneficial for most of the chronic, western diseases because they promote healthy cholesterol balance, liver function, detoxification support, immune system balance, cancer detection, energy, blood sugar balance and brain health. By addressing inflammation and balancing the immune system, we see downstream benefits in digestion, skin, mood, pain, autoimmune conditions and hormones.

๐ŸŒŸ Acute POWERHOUSE! [And they are a-realllll- cute ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ‘ถ]
Mushrooms are almost always a part of my acute cough and cold care plans. They can stimulate and balance the immune system to aid in fighting off invading viruses, flus and infections. Mushroom soups, broths or congee can be great for both seasonal allergies sufferers and fighting off a cold alike.

Here, I was cheesing big as a proud mushroom mama ๐Ÿ˜ for some delicious shiitakes I grew from a @fungially block !
